Patty Polinger, Vidiots Founder/Vice Board Chair, established Vidiots in 1985 with Cathy, her childhood friend, with a mission to open a different kind of video store; a cultural and community film hub offering a unique and diverse library.

Cathy Tauber, Vidiots Founder/Vice Board Chair, opened Vidiots in 1985, after she and her childhood friend Patty saw a need to make available for rent more interesting, independent, foreign, cult, and documentary films, which were not available anywhere at the time.

Maggie Mackay, Vidiots Board Chair/ED, developed her interest in film as a child at her local NYC video store. She has held high-level positions at the Sundance Institute, the Los Angeles Film Festival, and the Independent Spirit Awards.

Danièle Neuharth, Director of Development at RAND Corporation, has over fifteen years of experience in the arts, entertainment, environmental and higher education sectors. She has served in various development roles at USC, Art Center College of Design, the American Film Institute, and the Sundance Institute.

Rachel O’Connor is President of Film and Television at Pascal Pictures, based at Universal Pictures. O’Connor’s many credits include: Spider-Man: Homecoming, the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, the Academy Award-nominated The Post, Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Little Women, and the television adaptation of Nathaniel Popper’s Digital Gold.

Claudia Puig is President of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and a nationally recognized entertainment journalist. Puig also serves as program director for the Mendocino Film Festival and FilmFest 919. Puig teaches a college course in Diversity in the Media and specializes in cultural analysis and diversity issues.

Mary Rohlich is a film, television and documentary film producer. She serves as an Executive Producer on the acclaimed Netflix series Atypical. Rohlich has produced hit comedies including Four Christmases, Horrible Bosses, and Identity Thief, and several notable and award-winning documentary features, including Gleason and Print the Legend.
